Panah Foundation emerged as a support system for unorganized workers seeking to establish their own small-scale micro-businesses in the aftermath of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. By providing financial assistance, around 45 individuals received the support they needed, leading to the successful creation of Momo King, an innovative venture. Building on this success, Panah Foundation elevated the concept by establishing cloud-based kitchens where unorganized workers could access and sell momos, generating sustainable livelihoods. Presently, more than seven outlets have been opened in the city, with additional franchises being established. Momo King has become a self-sustaining model, enabling individuals to support themselves and providing employment opportunities for over 12 people within the venture.
